Mumbai: The BSE benchmark Sensex continued to rise in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange today  (Dec 4, 2006) on heavy buying by funds gaining over 50 points.

The 30-share index rose by 50.40 at 13883.67 in first five minutes of trading as index related stocks like Reliance Industries, BHEL, TATA Motor, TCS, Larsen and Toubro and Gujarat Ambuja Cement gained on the higher side.

Similarly, the widebased National Stock Exchange, Nifty rose 10.50 at 4008.10.
