Sensex back in positive zone, up 37 pts in trade

Mumbai: The benchmark Sensex recovered by more than 37 points in early trade today (Nov 24,2006) on the Bombay Stock Exchange on selective buying by funds.

The 30-share index, Sensex, which had lost 25.70 points yesterday, was up by 37.67 points to 13,718.50 in first five minutes of trading.

The wide-based National Stock Exchange, Nifty recovered by 11.55 points to trade at 3,957.00.

The major support came in from heavy-weights like Reliance Industries, Reliance Energy, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Udyog, Infosys Technologies, Satyam Computers, ONGC, ICICI Bank, HDFC Ltd, NTPC, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Motors and Grasim Industries.
